Significant progress toward
eliminating the ‘Last-Continuing-Example-Of-Discrimination’ @ what used to be called ‘Nigger Beach’
~ took place on Thursday March 17, 2009 ~ at the TOWN HALL MEETING Hosted by Mayor Kiker [& other Town of Fort Myers Beach
Officials] & Fish Tale Marina’s Al Durrett – that included presentations by Fire Chief Michael Becker, Captain
Matt Powell & Town Manager Jenke – as well as Officials of other Estero Island Organizations & Commissioner
Ray Judah.
Ray Judah as Key Note Speaker –
answered MANY questions – including these Two [that were
Previously submitted via Event Coordinator Lois Poff] SOODA 20/20 & Bunche Beach Land Questions:
1. Why is There Not Even One ~ ‘ON-LEASH-ONLY’ ~ Dog Park On Over 23,000 Acres of 20/20 Lands?
2. Why Has Lee Ignored the JY/PD 25JA07 ‘ON-LEASH-ONLY’ Bunche Beach Proposal
for over 2-Years?
Ray Judah told me [& the
audience] from the Podium to talk to Lynda Thompson [20/20 Program Coordinator] &:
“Tell Lynda to put SOODA’S ~‘ON-LEASH-ONLY’ ~ Proposal/East of JM Road on the 20/20
AGENDA.”
I personally spoke to Judah right after his presentation & he gave me a ‘bear
hug’ stating: “I love you & Mary!”
“Tell
Lynda to put SOODA’S Bunche Beach ~ ‘ON-LEASH-ONLY’ ~ Proposal on the 20/20 Agenda!”
[Per
Judah’s instructions ~ the SOODA Email Request ~ was sent to Lynda Thompson on March 24TH.]
